Submissions

Submissions are open until May 18, 2017 May 20, 2017 (23:59 in the time zone of your choice).

We encourage submissions presenting novel methods for discovering complex structures (e.g. interaction networks, molecular structures), statistical machine learning methods for analysis of various high-throughput -omics data, and methods supporting systems-level data analysis.

We are calling for 1-4 page abstracts describing either:

  1. Original work on machine learning in systems biology. These should describe method development and application, and we encourage authors to submit recent ideas for discussion.
  2. Highlights describing computational aspects of work that has recently been published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal or at the main conference.

Abstracts will be considered for a talk or a poster presentation. The abstract must be in PDF format (file extension .pdf) and can be up to 4 pages long, including all figures and references. If you only wish to be considered for a poster then a one page abstract is sufficient.

MLSB posters will be displayed along with all ISMB posters. Please not that following ISMB policy, posters will be free of charge for ISCB members, and a $50 fee will be charged for non-ISCB members. Note that the ISCB membership fee is usually less than the difference between member- and non-member registration fees.

To submit your abstract, please go to EasyChair.

Submissions will be evaluated by at least three reviewers from an international programme committee of experts in the field. The most relevant and most original submissions will be accepted as full oral presentations and/or as poster presentations at the workshop. Abstracts will be made public online on this Special Session webpage.
